I know I said I would post the next blog this week and look at that I barely made it. 😉 Seriously though now that I have talked about some of the numbers and the problem here is my take on the solution/possible solutions.

Yes I believe we can make a difference but that required for me; a change in perspective. It meant valuing the one life that can be freed instead of struggling with not being able to help everyone. WE CANNOT SOLVE EVERY PROBLEM ON OUR OWN. Key word here is on OUR OWN. Yes by myself I can’t do much but I can do a LOT through my community. I am probably sounding a bit cliché but its true. One of my favorite quotes is “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” by Edmund Burke. So I encourage all of you to do something. Say no to evil. Say no to human trafficking!!

Here are some suggestions on what we can do to help end human trafficking:

  1. PRAY!!! I cannot stress this enough. This is not a last resort it should be our first response. Philippians 4:13 “we can do all things THROUGH God.” We need prayer so that we can have courage, wisdom and gain strength from God because he is capable of EVERYTHING.
  2. READ!! It is very important to be aware of what is going on around our community/world. We need to educate ourselves about human trafficking and gain a deeper understanding. I believe in education that it can help us grow and make smart decisions.
  3. GIVE! Maybe buy an #AGAPE t-shirt. 🙂 It doesn’t have to be that though when you are reading/researching find a great organization to support like International Justice Mission or A21 Campaign.
  4. TALK! Start intentionally communicating with your friends, family and co-workers. Raise awareness about the issue. Don’t let all of the millions of victims of human trafficking remain in the dark.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Side note: I just absolutely love that long cardigan it’s my favourite go to, to make my outfit stand out a little more. The way the weather has been in Calgary those girlfriend jeans and cardigan are variations of what I have been wearing. I will have an outfit details post for next week. Hopefully, fingers crossed. 😉

Love B. 🙂
